It's truly astonishing just how many talented players France possesses. However, can Zidane strike the right balance that Deschamps couldn't achieve against Spain? The solution, maybe, could involve Eduardo Camavinga, who was omitted from the World Cup squad but whose skill and athleticism could prove decisive going forward.
This evening is a major occasion for the aforementioned Yoro, who has demonstrated his abilities since moving to Man United from Lille, but hasn't been consistent. Furthermore, he hasn't noticeably addressed his shortcomings: he still tends to lose his marker during set-pieces, and his passing could be improved, flaws that become more evident given how smoothly Jacquet has adapted at Liverpool. United have been conceding goals, and the style Michael Carrick prefers theoretically suits him—pace is crucial with a high defensive line. Yet, thus far, he hasn't done enough to break into the starting lineup ahead of Harry Maguire or Lisandro Martinez.
